Rebecca Pancare (February 22, 2018)

Rebecca Pancare Starting in October, 2014, Rebecca Pancare was a volunteer with B.O.N.E.S. Always one to raise her hand to help with transports, she would be willing to drive far out of her way to help a beagle get to where they needed to go.

On one memorable trip, she drove a dog from Massachusetts to New Hampshire, a ninety-minute trip. She didn't mind and never complained. She was always happy to help in whatever way needed. Rebecca raised her hand whenever there was a need to help with Massachusetts outreach events and the B.O.N.E.S. Beagle Bash too; she would be there from start to finish.

Rebecca PancareA few years ago, Rebecca needed major shoulder surgery and realized that she would no longer be able to take care of her dog, Roscoe. After long conversations and thinking through the pros and cons, she selflessly surrendered him to B.O.N.E.S.

Roscoe was fostered by another volunteer and her husband and was eventually adopted by them. They kept Rebecca up to date on his antics and how he was doing until he passed away after a short illness. On the one-year anniversary of his passing, she and Rebecca shared their memories of him. Rebecca planned to walk at their favorite place and light a candle in his memory. Roscoe had left this Earth but never her heart.

For those who knew Rebecca and those that had the chance to work alongside this wonderful woman, she is indeed missed. We believe that her beloved Roscoe was waiting for her at the Rainbow Bridge.
