HISTORY

B.O.N.E.S. (Beagles of New England States , Inc) was founded in May of 2003 after BREW, another beagle rescue organization, made the decision to close their two year old New England Chapter.

A few BREW NE volunteers felt there was a continuing need for beagle rescue in the NE region and made the decision to organize as a new rescue. During the next six months B.O.N.E.S. became incorporated, received its 501(c)(3) status, created a website, and wrote and implemented guidelines and procedures. While this work was in process, beagles were being brought into the program and wonderful homes were found for them.

Thank you to all the volunteers that made this happen and to the founders of B.O.N.E.S.
