Tom

Tom My truly great old boy Tom passed over the Rainbow Bridge in July, 2022.

We traveled across this great country three times. We visited family, saw National Parks, and trekked in National Forests. Tom easily made friends on our travels.

Locally, Tom loved walking the beaches of Dartmouth and Westport, Massachusetts. His mission in life was tracking and chasing rabbits. He loved to meet and greet both people and dogs, enjoying when he could sniff, track, eat, play, nap, and cuddle. He was always full of energy and embraced his beagle life full-on all the time!

Tom loved to search for and try to catch chipmunks, rabbits, bees, and flies. he was very playful and could not stop sniffing! He was very friendly and open to checking out new things. He made many human and dogs friends easily. He would play all day long with his dog friends, even though they were often twice his size.

Tom and I enjoyed playing tug of war with his rope toy. We spent time on a relative's farm in Kansas, where Tom played chase with their young pigs! He was up for play all the time - with anyone.

He was a great escape artist until the last couple years of his life. Whenever we visited a close friend's farm in Vermont, Tom made it his mission to escape, in order to visit the thoroughbred horses at horse farm up the road.

TomTom was a wonderful walking and hiking companion. We hiked on trails in both the east and west of the country. One of my favorite hikes took us from the Colorado River along a stream flowing into the river up to the surround cliffs and hills.

He was my "best boy" and a truly wonderful companion - on and off the road of life.
