Chloe Isabelle Eckstein (2003-2019)

Chloe Isabelle Eckstein Chloe Isabelle Eckstein, beloved beagle of Eric and Missy Eckstein, left for the rainbow bridge on June 12th after a very brief illness. Chloe was 16 years old and had been a part of the Eckstein family for almost 12 years. She found her way to Fitchburg after living in New York for her first 4 years. She settled into her new life in Fitchburg but was always a big city dog at heart.

Besides her parents, she leaves her family and friends. She was greatly loved by her Grammy and Grampy, Sandy and Mike Merrill; her special aunties, Deb Hardy, Kerry Mullen, Sheri Jordan, Nikki Fournier, Rhonda Festa, Sarah Brooks, and Angie Cobbs; her uncles, Jimmy T., Brian Marks, Shaun Surette, and John Zanelli; as well as countless friends.

She also leaves her special puppy friends, Wilma Hardy-Mullen, Fergus Allen, Gemma McWilliams, Bruin Brousseau, Gabby Brousseau, and Fiona Carreno.

Chloe loved traveling and was always up for an adventure. Her favorite places were Boston, Portsmouth, NH, Nubble Light, Bar Harbor, Gloucester, Rockport, and weekends at the cabin in Rindge, NH.

Chloe was a hound and a true foodie. She enjoyed chicken and oatmeal daily and loved eating out. Her favorite places to eat were Woodman's in Gloucester, Canine Cupboard in Portsmouth, NH, Monica's in the North End, Cherry Hill Farm, Lunenburg, Carol's Ice Cream, Rindge, NH, McDonalds, and Starbucks.

Chloe loved the New England Patriots and proudly wore her #12 jersey. She cheered them on at their last Super Bowl win. (By cheering, we mean eating all the Super Bowl snacks!) Staying true to her New York beginnings, she was a Yankees fan.

Chloe was a proud supporter of Beagles of New England States, raising money for them through donations for the annual calendar. Chloe appeared in ten of the B.O.N.E.S. calendars and was a participant at the Beagle Bash.

Chloe lived a lot in her short time and left her pawprint on so many hearts. If she could talk, she would have told everyone to love unconditionally, run fast, and enjoy each and every day to the fullest.
