Our sweet, loving 15 year old dog and B.O.N.E.S. alumni, Jimmy, passed away yesterday.
To say that he was the best dog I have ever had responsibility for is an understatement. He was so gentle, so laid back, so easy going (but he did have one or two bad dog habits but they were actually pretty funny).
He saw so many foster dogs come and go from our house and tolerated so many foster failures and new additions. He made sure each dog knew his place and didn't think twice about barking out orders when a dog over stepped his bounds.
He was my travel companion, always willing to jump into the back seat and go for a ride when I ran errands. He loved going to my dealership when my car needed work done - the owner is a huge dog person and each service person always had dog treats that Jimmy received. He also loved Home Depot - more treats for him!
As sad as we are, we knew it was time and we hope that he made it over the rainbow bridge and is now running around with all his former brothers and sisters. We love you. We miss you. You will always have a special place in our hearts, Mr. Jimmy-Jim.
