We will never forget the day that Snoopy became a member of our family. We found him through B.O.N.E.S. and the first part of his write up was "Snoopy the Sweetie"—-an boy did B.O.N.E.S get it right! We picked Snoopy up on May 8, 2011, he was 91/2 years old, only one month after another beagle of ours (Twister) had passed. I was concerned with being able to love another beagle. For anyone else in this situation my only advice is this—-you'll always find the love for another dog, they just take up a different spot in your heart.
Snoopy was diagnosed with nasal cancer in October 2012 and by April of 2013 it had become just too much for him and we had to do what was best for Snoopy but not necessarily what was best for us. We miss him terribly from sleeping on all the pillows in the house to being my TV companion as he would jump up on my chair, turn around to face the TV and then back up into my waist area and lay down beside me. He truly was a sweetie.
The hurt and the love will never go away but we cherish and will try to focus on the short time we had with him. Snoopy certainly enriched our lives. Your brother beagle Typhoon is still looking for you and misses you as well. There is something very very special about dogs that maybe someday we'll figure out.
Breathe better my friend and run free with Twister by the Bridge. Someday we'll all be together again.
With all our love,
Mom, Dad, and Typhoon
