Jake (4/10/2000 - 3/27/2012)

Jake We had to say good bye to you last week as you were really too sick to go on. After numerous tests we never really found out what was wrong. You lived to eat and once you could not enjoy that any longer we knew it was time. You never barked and we are not sure why. Retired from a research lab after 6 yrs you did come to us with quirks. Your anxieties and drooling when you were away from home always saddened us but we got you by them. We cured you of your car sickness and after that you always enjoyed your car ride to the path where you could run free and enjoy all the beagle smells. You demanded affection and we gave you plenty over the years. The house is so quiet without you even though you never barked a word. I miss hearing your nails tapping on the floor while I cook in the kitchen. Clover is lost without you and looks all over for you. I hope you are with Hanna now, peaceful and happy running through the fields with a smile on your face. We loved you and you loved us and that's all that counts.

RIP sweet boy.

Mom, Dad and sister Clover.
