For almost 15 years, he hogged our couch, our chairs, our beds, and (whenever he could) our food.
Sam always had to be in the middle of things, especially Christmas morning present opening.
He stole our hearts with his very first rescue visit in 2004, and our hearts broke recently as we had to say goodbye.
I hope that there are no leashes in heaven, so he can follow his nose wherever it leads him; when he gets tired, I hope that there are comfy places to take a mid-day nap.
Thanks for loving us, Sam. Thank you, B.O.N.E.S., for the great work that you do; we are forever grateful for having had Sam in our lives, no matter how hard it is to say goodbye.
