Gracie Cook First, thank you to B.O.N.E.S.for being such a great organization. You connected me with my beagle Gracie in the Fall of 2007. For the past 10 years, Gracie had been by my side through good, bad, happy, and sad, with unwavering loyalty and love.

Her foster dad Roy Morrison introduced me to her and it was love at first sight. The nervous little beagle girl cautiously approached me, sniffed, and nudged me with her nose. In that instant, I knew I had found my match.

Gracie grew into a wonderfully confident beagle who loved all people. She had the instincts to let children pet her while calmly sitting to gently interacting with elderly folks who needed a little beagle love.

Gracie CookShe was my rock through the ups and downs over 10 years of life. She was my co-pilot for car rides, she was my alarm to get up in the morning. She was the welcoming committee for everyone who walked in the door. She loved us with all her heart.

In early September, 2017, Gracie let me know it was time for her to embark on her next adventure. With me holding her tightly, she went to sleep for the last time.

Gracie CookWe are left with a huge void in our home, but our hearts are full. The quietness and stillness painfully reminds us of the life and energy that Gracie brought everywhere she went. Eventually we will heal, and Gracie will guide us in our hearts to our next companion. Until then we will miss her and hold on to the memories.

From Caleb, Caitlin, and little Gracie Girl - thank you to B.O.N.E.S. for connecting us.

Caleb Cook
