Our
mission is to rescue, rehome, spay/neuter and provide necessary
medical care to beagles in need in the New England Area.
We endeavor to improve the quality of
life for beagles in New England through outreach and education
programs. BONES was founded in 2003 for the purpose
of rescuing beagles and placing them in forever homes. B.O.N.E.S.
is registered in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a nonprofit
organization.
B.O.N.E.S. is an all volunteer organization,
comprised of dedicated people that want what is best for beagles
in their area.

you want to help B.O.N.E.S. with our mission, please see our

THE BEGINNING
BONES (Beagles of New England States, Inc) was founded in May of 2003 after BREW, another beagle rescue organization, made the decision to close their two year old New England Chapter.
Five BREW NE volunteers felt there was a continuing need for beagle rescue in the NE region and made the decision to organize as a new rescue. During the next six months BONES became incorporated, received its 501 (c) (3) status, created a website, and wrote and implemented guidelines and procedures. While this work was in process, beagles were being brought into the program and wonderful homes were found for them.
Thank you to all the volunteers that made this happen and to the founders of BONES.
