Beagles Elsewhere

There is no doubt that every healthy, normal boy... should own a dog at some time in his life, preferably between the ages of forty-five and fifty.

Robert Benchley (1889-1945)

"Magnetism is one of the Six Fundamental Forces of the Universe,
with the other five being Gravity, Duct Tape, Whining, Remote Control, and
The Force That Pulls Dogs Toward The Groins Of Strangers."
 Dave Barry
Timex

8 year old female good with dogs and cats, children over 4

Timex is a petite middle aged gal. She is a friendly, very sweet and quiet.

She will need work on housetraining as she lived most of her life in a kennel breeding other beagles. Timex is a tiny tri-colored beagle who weighs only 15 pounds. Timex is working on being housebroken, is crate trained, very good with other dogs , cats and children. She loves young children and will wag happily and try to lick them. Her foster home says that Timex is just an adorable little beagle who is friendly and affectionate. She can be a bit shy when first meeting new folks, but that doesn't last long. Timex is learning some basic commands and walks well on a leash.

Timex is looking for that special home that will shower her with love and affection. Is that home yours?

Thanks

It's a pleasure to donate to help a sweet, deserving beagle with her medical treatment. Every dog should get the best care possible, and BONES accomplishes just that.- Maryanne

Fiona

Adoption Pending!

2 year old female basset hound
good with dogs, cats and children of all ages

When friends from another rescue group contacted us about helping with this basset - we simply could not say no. Although she's not a beagle, she's a lovely basset girl with all the wonderful qualities we love about the hounds! Fiona is house trained, not destructive, crate trained, quiet and generally well mannered in the house. She is good with other dogs, and fine with cats. Fiona adores children - but due to her size (a short 55lbs) may knock over small toddlers. Don't let the fact that she's a basset fool you - she's not lazy and low energy..this girl is athletic, active and loves to be on the go with her humans.

A really great all around girl - looking for a great new home.

BUCK

Adopted !

3 year old male, good with dogs, cats and children of all ages

A pint sized party is what you'll find in this handsome red and white beagle boy!

Little Buck retired from a short career as a hunter to find better digs living in luxury as someones beloved pet.

Buck is a lively little guy who loves to explore, go for walks, play with toys, wrestle with other dogs or run with children.

He is a great all around beagle boy who adapts to new situations quickly, loves everyone he meets and and is eager to try new things.

Buck needs a little structure and consistancy to help get him accustomed to house living - he would do well in a home that would use the crate as a house training tool, as well as dedicate a little time to doing some basic obedience work.

With just a little bit of polish - Buck is a ready made fun filled companion!

HARLEY

10 month old male, good with dogs and children over 12

Happy, eager and ready to roll! Harley is a sweet, social young beagle boy with a ton of great qualities for a guy his young age. Harley is house trained, crate trained and pretty darn well mannered in the house. Harley had a difficult early start in life and is now learning the finer points of living in a home and following his humans.

Harley has had difficult time with his attention span and he is now on some medication that costs under $5/month. His new family will need to continue his medication as well as continue the training program that BONES has set up for him. Harley needs a family with a good amount of experience.

Young Harley is a wonderful young guy who needs to burn off some puppy energy - (walks, a doggy playmate, playing with toys...are all favorites of Harley's). He would love a very active household. Anyone who meets Harley just loves him. Harley will need some extra love and structure during a transition time but, once he feels comfortable in his new home, he will give back the love in numerous ways.

Harley really wants his forever family and so do we!
