Hello, who are you? My name is Teddy, and I'm looking for a family of my very own. I'm a very good boy. I am house trained as well as crate trained. I also know how to sit on command.

I just love being with my people, but if you need to go out without me, that's not a problem. I can wait for you to come home while in my crate, or on a couch, or on my dog bed. When we're together, I to sit in your lap and just cuddle – that's why my name is "Teddy"... like "Teddy Bear"!

While I'm a very loveable boy, there are a few things that scare me a bit. I can be afraid of people I don't know when they come to the door or come into the house. It depends upon whether I like them or not. I'll put my head and tail down and walk away or might jump and bark. I may jump at sudden, unexpected movements, loud voices, or unfamiliar noises and I'll run to the door thinking something is going on outside that I need to bark at. But not always – I'll keep you guessing! (By the way, unlike many dogs, you can run that vacuum all you want and I will just look at it.)

Another thing that makes me frightened is getting in or out of the car. I can get car sick... I really hate that. Luckily, humans have medicine that makes me more comfortable.

I don't want you to think I'm a big baby. I'm just a bit sensitive. Mostly I spend my days taking walks, lying on a dog cushion or the couch, or chewing on a toy. I can tell time and know when it's time for dinner. I also know if I've done something for which I've received a treat in the past! I like run to the pantry in search of a meal or a crunchy treat, wagging my tail constantly.

I like to take my humans for walks because there are good smells outside, and my human gives me treats for pooping, peeing, and just being a good walker. But sometimes I just decide it's time to go home... then I'll turn around or lay on the ground. Sometimes we're walking when the school bus drives by and I get nervous thinking I'll have to get on that bus and go to school. I let that bus know in no uncertain terms to get away from me!

I hope my new family has a canine companion for me. I like playing with my foster sister as she keeps me company and gives me confidence. I will also need a physically-fenced yard to keep me safe while I run and play.

Are you looking to add another furry family member to your home? Do you like to cuddle? I sure hope to meet you soon. It will be a dream come true to find my forever home.
